Flake & Chip Epoxy Floors

The Floor That Hides a Hard Life

Flake floors are the practical favorite for a reason — the broadcast of color chips hides dirt, dust, and the odd imperfection, adds real slip resistance underfoot, and comes in a blend you pick. It's our most popular garage finish, and it works just as well in a basement or a busy shop.

  • ✓ Slip-resistant texture
  • ✓ Custom color blends
  • ✓ Hides dirt & flaws
  • ✓ Diamond-ground prep

Make It Yours

Pick your flake, pick your finish

Same tough system, dialed in to the look and feel you want.

Custom color blends

Choose from a wide range of flake blends to match your space — subtle greys and tans, or bold multi-color mixes.

Full broadcast

Flake broadcast to refusal for a fully-textured, seamless surface with maximum slip resistance and depth.

Light broadcast

A lighter scatter of flake over a solid base — a cleaner, more uniform look that still hides wear.

Flake sizes

Smaller chips read fine and modern; larger chips give a bolder, terrazzo-like texture. Your call.

Garage, basement & shop

The same system performs in a home garage, a finished basement, or a high-traffic commercial floor.

Sealed topcoat

A clear topcoat locks the flake in, smooths the surface, and makes the floor easy to sweep and mop.

Why Flake

The most forgiving floor we install

A solid-color floor shows every speck; a metallic floor shows every scratch in the wrong light. Flake hides both. The textured surface adds grip when it's wet, the blend disguises day-to-day dirt, and the clear topcoat makes cleanup a quick sweep. It's the finish we recommend most for floors that get used hard.

  • Grip when wet. The flake texture breaks up a glossy surface so it isn't slick underfoot.
  • Forgiving finish. Dust, tire marks, and minor flaws disappear into the blend.
  • Tough build. Layers of epoxy and topcoat over a diamond-ground slab — built to take traffic.
  • Easy to live with. Non-porous and seamless, so spills wipe up and dirt sweeps off.

Flake FAQ

Good things to know

Is a flake floor slippery?

Less than a smooth gloss floor — the chip texture adds grip. We can also tune the topcoat for more or less slip resistance depending on where it's going.

How do I choose a blend?

We'll show you blend options and help you match your space, your walls, and how much you want to hide. It's hard to go wrong — that's part of the appeal.

Will it hold up in a garage?

Yes. On a diamond-ground slab with the right topcoat, flake garage floors are hot-tire-proof and shrug off jacks, spills, and winter grit.

How do I clean it?

Sweep or dust-mop for daily upkeep; a damp mop handles the rest. No waxing, no resealing on a normal schedule.
